About Us

Our Beginning

In 2018, Joshua Starr created the Reckoned Righteous website as an outlet for his own writing endeavors during his time in seminary. After receiving positive feedback from readers, the purpose of the site took shape. Reckoned Righteous would be a place for Christians to learn and grow in their knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. After several years of work, this is still the primary goal of this website: to glorify and make known the excellencies of Our Savior.

Our Values

Reckoned Righteous values several things as an online ministry:

• Explaining the Bible clearly, passionately, and accurately

• Welcoming Christians of all walks of life to contribute

• Engaging Christians in thinking about absolute truth and the Christian worldview

• Glorifying God above all else

Our Podcast

In January of 2020, Reckoned Righteous began its first podcast endeavor: the Thoughtful Christianity Podcast. This podcast is the result of a deep friendship and even deeper conversations between the co-hosts, Jay and Josh. The goal of the TC Podcast is to invite listeners to sit in on the two’s conversations as they think through their faith and its implications.
